Slap in the face? 11/13/2012

Well things are starting to get interesting.  My sister, Linda, suggested I get some sage and smudge the house.

So, this is what happened.  I was taking a shower.  My washcloth was laying across the top of the shower doors. I was washing my hair.  I know I did not hit the shower door, as both doors would have rattled.  There was no rattling of the shower doors.  The washcloth came off the top of the shower door and hit me on the side of my face.

I spent quite awhile trying to recreate the washcloth falling off the shower door.  I used the same wet cloth and a clean dry cloth.  I was unable to get the cloths to fall.  I opened and closed the doors.  I rattled the doors.  I banged the doors.  The cloths stayed right there on top of the door.

Interesting find when I woke up on Halloween 2012

Ok.  I have to admit this one did freak me out.

When I woke up I spotted something very strange as soon as I opened my eyes and they focused on the pillow next to me.

The charger cord for my iPhone was unplugged from the plug and was coiled up like a person would coil up an extension cord.  I know I did not coil  that cord.  It was way to neat for me to have done it.  My coils are always a mess.

So I picked it up and placed it on Maggie who was sound asleep to show how neat the coil was.  I then unplugged the plugin thing and placed it on Maggie.  I'm undecided on who would have done this.  Jeff could coil a extension cord with the best of them, but not without some nagging.  Since I was using this cord to charge my iPhone, I did not want this cord coiled up.  In case you wanted to know, I forgot to plug the phone in to charge the night before.

Squeaky kitchen floor 10/30/2012

There is this one floor board in the kitchen that squeaks when I or Zoey step on it.  But the cats and Laddie don't weigh near enough to cause it to squeak.  I'm so used to it squeaking that I tune it out.

However, this night the squeak did catch my attention. It wasn't Zoey or me that stepped on the board to cause it to squeak.  I'm not sure what caused it to squeak.

It was late evening and Zoey let me know that she needed to go outside.  So we went through the kitchen and I let her and Laddie out into the back yard.  I was standing at the back door, looking out the window watching the dogs.  All of a sudden, I heard the floor squeak.  I turned around to see what caused the floor to squeak.

Well, Maggie was walking towards me.  I was pretty sure that Maggie hadn't caused the floorboard to squeak.  So I grabbed a can of kitty food and let her take a couple bites.  I then walked to the other end of the kitchen.  I called Maggie and she came and the floor did not squeak.  I let her take a couple bites of the food.  Then repeated the experiment several times.  Not once did the floor board squeak when Maggie stepped on it.

I'm not sure what or who caused the floor board to squeak.  I've been listening and have not heard it squeak unless Zoey or I step on it.

Deadbolt issues? 10/07/2012

Ok.  I'm totally stumped on this one.

I'd gone grocery shopping.  When I got home, I unlocked the front door.  I went through the front door and went to close it.  The door would not shut.

I looked at the door and discovered what the problem was.  Somehow, the deadbolt had been turned and the lock was all the way out.

Now I did not turn the deadbolt when I opened the door.  I unlocked it and took the key out then unlocked the regular door lock.  I do not know how the deadbolt got turned.

I'm wondering if this was Jeff, Mike or Ron.  Jeff wasn't one for using the deadbolt.  Ron was a faithful deadbolt locker.  I'm not sure about Mike, but I believe he was a deadbolt user too.  It might have been Ron as I was thinking about him earlier today.  But then I also thought about Mike as I'd texted with his wife, his daughter, and his grandson.

Bob Dylan - Thunder On The Mountain

This is for Jeff. Bob Dylan was Jeff's hero.

Jeff's Twin

Shannon and Jason C. went to Los Vegas over Labor Day Weekend. While they were exploring Vegas they came across this guy that was making roses. This guy bore a striking resemblance to Jeff. They sent me a couple photos of the guy. Let me know what you think. Could this really be Jeff's twin?

TV changed channels AGAIN

Ok.  I'm not sure what is going on with the TV.  Every couple days or so the TV will change channels on its own.
For instance, Saturday I was watching Oklahoma on Encore.  Well all of a sudden the TV changed channels.  It went to the next Encore channel.  I grabbed the remote from the TV stand and changed the channel back to the one I was watching.
I've been sick this past week so I've been staying in bed and sleeping a-lot.  I have been watching a-lot of TV and this has happened 3 or 4 times.  Every time this has happened, I've checked the remote.  No buttons stuck down.  The remote has been on the stand.  I put new batteries in the remote last week when this started up, thinking it might be weak batteries.
I woke up about 15 minutes ago (it is now 12:56am on 9/04/12) and for some reason the channel was on HUB and they are showing The Muppet's Take Manhattan.  Not sure why Jeff or Mike or ??? haven't changed the channel.  When I fell asleep HUB was playing another movie...Batteries Not Included.

Camping at Clear Lake 8/24/12 through 8/26/12

My friend Linda B. invited me to go camping with her.  She was having a big group at Clear Lake.  I invited Adele to go with me.  I also took Zoey and Laddie with us.

Friday afternoon after arriving at the campground, Adele and I set up camp.  I kept Laddie on his leash until I got his pen set up.  Once I got the pen set up I put him in it and took his leash off.  I set the leash on the picnic table.  I also set Zoey's leash on the table with Laddie's leash.

Well later that afternoon, Linda and I took a walk around the campground and down to the lake.  Before leaving, I grabbed Zoey's leash and put it on her and took Zoey with us.  I didn't notice if Laddie's leash was there or not, as I wasn't taking Laddie with us.

Later, that evening, went to put Laddie on his leash and his leash was not on the table.  Adele and I both tore apart the camp site looking for the leash.  We could not find it anywhere.  Linda came over while we were searching and she helped us look.

We gave up searching.  I ended up putting Zoey's leash on Laddie to take him for his walk.

Saturday morning, both Adele and I did another search for the missing leash.  I gave up and decided I wanted a bagel for breakfast.  Now the bagels were in a paper bag all by themselves.  Both Adele and I had looked in this paper bag both on Friday and Saturday when we were searching for the leash.  Now that I'd given up searching and was fixing something to eat, I found the leash in the paper bag that the bagels were in.

Only thing I can figure out is that either Jeff or Mike were messing with me.  Or was there a mischievious spirit there at the campground?

The porch light 8/22/12

The light fixture I have on the front porch is a motion sensor light.  Since having the light fixture installed I just keep the light switch in the on position as there is no need to turn it on and off every day.

I'd taken the dogs down to Portland to take them to Aunt Marie's care facility.  Then afterwards, went over to Ken and Adele's.  Stayed there until about 9:30pm.  I got home right around 10pm.

First thing that I noticed when I pulled into the driveway was that the porch light did not turn on.  I didn't think much about it at the time, except that I wished I had a flashlight so I could see the lock.  I don't like finding the lock in the dark.  It didn't help that I was shackled by 2 dogs.

So when I finally got the door unlocked and open, I went to flip the light switch off, only to discover that the switch was in the off position.

Now something very strange happened tonight. 8/04/12

I was down in Portland at my cousins' house. A little after 10pm I took stuff out to my car. Then about 10:40 I took the dogs out and loaded them up and got into the car. I shut my door and that is when I realized that the drivers side window was all the way down. I then noticed that all the windows were down and that the sunroof was wide open.
Now when I parked in my cousins driveway I left all the windows closed. I had the key in my pocket the whole time I was there so I know my cousin Ken did not play a prank on me.
I can't figure this one out. How did the windows get opened? You need the key in the ignition to get the windows to open.

From a Haunting to Tarzan, this just happened about 30 minutes ago. 8/03/12

I was watching A Haunting in Connecticut.  All of a sudden, the channel started changing.  It went from channel to channel until it stopped on channel 784: TCMHD which was showing Tarzan:Silver Screen King starring Johnny Weissmuller.

I know that Jeff did not like watching horror movies.  Now as to if he liked Tarzan, I have no idea.  After talking with Mike's daughter and wife, I have decided that it was Mike who was changing the channels.  He loved the old Tarzan movies, whereas Jeff didn't care much for them.

Yet another incident involving a television set. 7/20/12

Well I'm not sure what was going on.  I was unable to fall asleep tonight even after taking sleeping pills and drinking sleepy time tea.  And the time honored warm milk.

Well I was laying in bed watching Star Trek movies.  Star Trek: First Contact was just starting.  When all of a sudden the tv and the cable box shut off.  I had a heck of a time getting them to turn back on.  No idea what in the world was going on.  This happened at 5am when the movie was starting.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

Oh, I think Jeff may have come back tonight. 7/18/12

This just happened about 30 minutes or so ago.  It is now 3:50am.

The bedroom door is shut and I have the window a/c on, but just have it on fan.  No animals were in the room at the time.  I was reading in bed, absorbed in my book.  All of a sudden the bed shook.  It felt like someone pushed against the foot board....giving it a hard shove.
Now I have felt this before, but always when the door has been open and the animals in the room.  This happened the other night, door was open and I had the light off.  I was almost asleep when it happened.  I didn't budge.  I just assumed it was one of the animals.  Now I'm not so sure.

Update. I just thought of something.  When Jeff wanted to wake me up from a nap, he would give the foot board a kick or 2 to wake me up.

After I turned off the light to go to bed, still with the door closed and no animals in the room.  I felt a cat walk on me.  I turned on the light and checked to make sure that there were no kitties in the room.  I couldn't find any.  Makes me wonder if this was Priss aka Ki Ki, come to visit?  Now if it happens again and it purrs and head butts me I will know it is Priss.

The Haunted House in Applegate.

This house I'm referring to has been in my cousins family for generations.  I always loved going out to visit these cousins.
To get to the bathroom and the stairway to the upstairs you had to go through this doorway in the living room.  Once you went through this door it was like going into a refrigerated room.  It was always cold back there.
Whenever I went to the bathroom, it always felt like someone was watching me.  Making sure I didn't get into something I shouldn't be getting into.  The bathroom itself felt safe.  It was the hallway to the bathroom that was creepy to me.
I don't know, I may have been around 5 years old (or maybe a year or so older) about the time I decided to go upstairs and explore as I had never been up there before.  Well I started up the stairs and by the time I got to the 3rd step something stopped me.  Whoever/whatever the presence was did not want me going upstairs...I didn't belong up there.  Whatever it was, it felt like I ran into a wall.  It scared me and I went running down the steps and tore through the door and ran over to where my mom was sitting and sat down next to her.  Nobody noticed that I had been scared to death.

Who goosed me?

This incident happened at Linda &  Gary's.
They had just moved into their house just outside of Roseburg.  The first time I stopped to visit after they bought the house and property, my niece Sarah, was showing me around the property.
We came upon this old stack of wood that was all rotten and full of termites.  Well Sarah and I were attempting to kill the termites.
Well someone wasn't too happy with us disturbing this rotten pile of wood.  Because all of a sudden something pinched me on my butt.  When that happened I spun around swinging, ready too clobber whoever had pinched me.  Only thing, there was no-one there.  It was just Sarah and I.  I know Sarah didn't do it.  We had been facing each other across the pile of wood stomping on the termites. Sarah swears she didn't see any one.

Fancy, The Ghost Kitty

This happened back in the early to mid 1970s.  I don't remember exactly when this happened.  I don't even remember the cat.
Well my sister Linda had this cat.  Since I don't remember the cat's name I'm gonna call it Fancy, as I think it needs a name.  Maybe Linda will comment and leave the cat's name.
Fancy always slept on Linda's bed.  This one night Fancy didn't come when Linda called her.  So Linda went to bed without her cat.  Well later that night she woke up to feel Fancy jump up on the bed and lay down at the foot of the bed where she always slept.
When dad got home from work that night, he found Fancy had been hit by a car and had died.  He buried Fancy in the back yard.  He told Linda the next morning about finding Fancy.  That freaked Linda out because she knew Fancy had jumped up on the bed and slept at the foot of the bed.
Well Fancy continued to jump up on Linda's bed every night.
When Linda moved away from home after she graduated from high school, I got her bed.  She and her best friend from school moved to Arizona. At this point in time we were actually without cats.  Well the first night I was sleeping in her bed I woke up to a cat jumping up on the bed.  I thought this was strange.  I got up and turned on the light.  There was no cat on the bed.  There was no cat in the bedroom.  I was freaking out.  I finally fell asleep. The next night I was again woken up by a cat jumping up on my bed.
When Linda got to Grandma's in Tempe, AZ she called to let us know that they had made it safe and sound. I grabbed the phone and asked her about the cat.  That is when she told me about Fancy.  She agreed it was freaky, but wasn't anything to be scared over.  Fancy was harmless.
Wasn't long after that my sister Diane got me a brown tabby kitten.  I named her, guess it!  Tabby.  Such an original name for a tabby cat!  haha.
Well I soon discovered that if Tabby was in the room with me, then Fancy would not show up.  Or at least I did not notice her jumping up on the bed.  But if I went to bed with out Tabby then Fancy would be back.
I have been back to my parents home many times over the years.  I haven't felt Fancy jump up on the bed since I was a teenager.

Update on Sarah's $20.00 bill.

I called and spoke Sarah on 6/30.  I asked her about the bill.  She said it was folded up very strangely.  When Sarah described how it was folded, I got a chill down my spine.  It was folded just like the bill that Jeff had left me a few months ago.  Also, it was laying next to her feet.  It wasn't there when her and Jason got home.  It just appeared out of nowhere.  When she found it she was reminded of me and when I found the $20.00 that Jeff had left for me.

This incident may or may not include Jeff.

On June 21, 2012, Jeff's best friend, Mike, passed away.  Mike was in the hospital for awhile.  One night I told Jeff that Mike was in the hospital and that he needed to go visit him and help him get better.  Well since that night, I haven't felt Jeff's presence here in the house.
So anyway, this evening Mike's daughter, Shannon, sent me a message.  I have copied and pasted the message to here.
Well mom and Jason went run errands today and when they got back someone had delivered a plant. Mom picked up the plant to bring it inside and came back out to sit on the swing where she always sits. On the side of the swing on the ground was a $20 bill. Neither her or Jason saw that money when they picked up the plant. It was in plain sight they should have seen it!

If this was Jeff, then this is the second time he has left a $20.00. But it could have been Mike. I don't know. It is just weird.

Aunt Helen's visit

Aunt Helen and Uncle Joe's daughter, Joan, passed away in the late 90s.

While I was sitting there in the pew at her funeral, all of a sudden I got this sensation that Aunt Helen was there.  (Aunt Helen passed away in 1990.) I was sitting next to my cousin Adele and I could hardly wait until the service was over to tell Adele.

Well Adele had her own experience to share with me.  While I was feeling Aunt Helen's presence, Adele was actually smelling her perfume, Jean Nate, and had a sense of her standing next to us.

Not sure what was going on with the TV.

Back when Jeff & I moved into our home, he bought a new TV for  the bedroom.  The whole time we had this TV it would turn on and off all by itself.
We checked with the next door neighbors.  The TV they had in their bedroom was not the same brand as ours.  We borrowed the remote just to see if it would work on our TV.  It did not.  Not sure what was causing it to turn on and off.  If we went away on vacation, we would always unplug it.

Who was Ron?

Ron was an older gentleman who lived next door to Jeff and I.  He passed away just a few weeks before Jeff.  Since we were close to Ron, when his daughter Cindy went back home to Idaho after cleaning out his house, she gave me a key to the house and asked me to keep an eye on it.

One day last fall my sister Jan and I went over there to check the house.  We were down in the basement.  Jan had gone into a different room than I did.  I'd stopped in his workroom and was admiring his workbench.  All of a sudden I felt this hand come down on top of my shoulder.  My first thought was it was Jan.  But it was not Jan.  She wasn't in the room with me.  It had to have been Ron.  He was a tall fellow in life and the hand came straight down onto my shoulder, as if from a tall person.

The second strange thing that happened was when I went on into another room in the basement.  Jan had found Ron's leather bomber jacket.  I thought to myself "I wonder if I should take this home?" I'd no sooner finished this thought than I heard a female voice say "Yes, take the jacket home."  It was not Jan's voice.  In fact Jan did not say anything.  I asked her.  I can only guess that the voice I heard belonged to Nora, Ron's wife.  She passed away back in March of 2009.

Yes, I took the jacket home and I called Cindy.  She didn't know about the jacket but she did ask me to mail it to her.  I gave Nick L. the money to mail it for me as I didn't have time to go to the post office.

Mike K. and Jeff 6/09/12

Mike was in a serious accident on 6/03/12 and is still in ICU.  I've been in constant contact with his family.  This morning, his daughter asked me to have Jeff come and shake the crap out of him.  So I yelled at Jeff to get his @ss to Mike and family as he is desperately needed there.  As I was texting her that I'd yelled at Jeff to get his @ss there asap, I had a very cold breeze blow across my left hand.

I'm not sure where that breeze came from.  I was sitting on my bed in the bedroom.  The plastic sheeting is still covering both windows, so I know it did not come from the windows.  I do not have a fan in the bedroom.  In fact I do not own any fans.  Beadro was laying on the bed next to me.  He looked up and around when the breeze hit.  Nothing caught his attention and he laid his head back down and closed his eyes.

Jeff & Mike relaxing after a hard day of sightseeing in New Orleans.
Mike, ?, and Sarah Atchalaya Swamp Basin

What was that I just found? 6/05/12

I was in the kitchen about 11:15pm.  Saw what looked like a cobweb hanging down from the cupboard door above the fridge to the freezer door of the fridge.  I swiped at it.  Imagine my surprise when I found it wasn't a spiderweb but a long blond hair.  Wasn't my hair.  I've never had hair this long.  It has to be one of Jeff's hairs.  I put it into my red antique powder box.

Cajun Country 5/28/12

I flew into Lafayette, LA on 5/25/12 to visit with Jeff's best friends Mike and Sarah.
Throughout my stay I would see something out of the corner of my eye.  One point, while sitting at the dining room table I saw what looked like long blond hair fly past me.  When I was packing my suitcase on 5/28 I was folding my clothes and putting them into the suitcase.  All of a sudden I was overcome by this instantaneous bone chilling freezing air.  I went outside and told Mike that I thought Jeff had just visited me.  He didn't believe me.  I grabbed his hand and he was shocked at how cold my hands were.  Sarah, I think, believed me.

These photos are from our last trip together to see Mike and Sarah K.  Jeff always loved to visit with Mike and Sarah.  As soon as we would get back from visiting with them, he would start planning our next trip to Lafayette.

Snow & Mist 3/21/2012

It’s been snowing all evening.  Went outside tonight to take photos of the snow.   The mist is behind the Camilla tree and in front of the fence.  There is no way that this mist could be my breathe.
Here is the original photo.  It has not been enhanced.

This is the cropped and enlarged image.

I've inverted the colors here trying to figure out just what the heck this is.

I'm richer from this experience. 3/16/12

About 3:30am I got up to get a glass of milk.  Walking back through the living room I noticed something on the living room floor.  It was a $20.00 bill.  No idea where it came from.  I put it into my wallet.  The $20.00 that I had in it was there.  I’m $20.00 richer.  Thank You Jeff.

The Television that turned itself on. 2/09/12

I was sitting on the bed chatting with my cousin, Colton, on Facebook.  All of a sudden the TV turned on.  I thought that maybe Maggie had stepped on the remote control as she had just jumped up on the bed.  I grabbed the remote, and turned the TV off.  The TV turned right back on.  I thought this was strange.  I turned the TV off again.  It turned right back on.  I turned it off.  It turned right back on.  OK.  I started to freak out.  I took the batteries out of the remote.  The TV still was turning itself back on.  I told Jeff that Aunt Vera had passed away and I had gone to Grants Pass to go to her funeral.  Turned the TV back off after putting the batteries back into the remote.  The TV turned back on.  Got off the bed and pushed the power button on the TV.  Strange…the power button was pushed halfway in on the TV.  Since I pushed the power button in all the way, the TV has been acting normal since.

For those of you who do not know, I have cats.  Maggie Mae, Beaudro (aka Beau), and Mr. Lucky.  I also have a Golden Retriever/Chow mix named Zoey.  I recently lost the oldest cat, Ms Priss.  She was Jeff's cat.  He doted on her.

Jeff's truck and a Oxy Contin pen 9/29/11.

On the 28th I’d gone to Pet Smart and bought some stuff for the animals.  I’d left it in Jeff’s truck overnight.  I drove Jeff’s truck to work on Thursday the 29th.  When I went out to the truck at lunchtime to run to Subway I noticed something unusual.  The receipt had been taken out of the bag of animal stuff and had been folded in half.  And an Oxycontin pen had been clipped to the receipt.  This then had been placed on top of the hump thing.

I find this one strange.  I have no idea where the Oxycontin pen came from.  The drug reps are no longer able to give out free stuff.  It's been a couple years since I've gotten free pens.  The really strange things is that Jeff took Oxycontin (aka Percocet) for his back pain.  Also, this pen has since disappeared.  I'm thinking one of the Nick's took it, needing a pen.  Who knows?  I don't.

Unexplained knocking at the front door. 9/24/11.

Tonight, right after I had gotten home from Adele’s there was a knock on the living room door.  Since I was in the living room, I immediately opened the door.  No one was there.  Zoey had started barking as soon as we heard the knock.  She ran outside barking.  She couldn’t find anyone either.  No sooner had I closed the door, the knock sounded again.  I immediately opened the door and Zoey again ran outside barking.  The neighbors were sitting on their front doorstep and I hollered at them asking if they had noticed anyone in the yard.  They didn’t.  Was this Jeff or Ron?

The aggravating water. 9/23/11.

The water was on again when I got home tonight.  I went ballistic.  I sent Nick a text telling him I wasn't very happy about them leaving the water on.  Nick wrote back they weren’t here today.  They didn’t turn the water on so why it was running he didn’t know.  Who is turning the water on?  Is it Jeff?  Is it Ron?  Or is it punk ass kids playing around?

Lights and water 9/22/11.

The basement lights were back on when I got up this morning.  I turned them off.
When I got home from work, the lights were off.  However, the water was on in the back yard.  I just blamed it on the guys forgetting to turn it off when they were done.  Nick, however, swears that the water had been turned off.

Nick and his friends had spent the day painting the outside of my house, and the garage.

UPDATE
I have debunked this one.  The cats like to jump up on the ledge above the stairs.  They sometimes hit the light switch to the basement stairs.

Lights 9/21/11

The basement lights were on when I got up this morning.  I went downstairs and turned them off.  When I got home from work, they were on again.  I turned them off.  Later I noticed they were on again.  Turned them off.

update: I have found the lights on every once in awhile.
Smells in the middle of the night.

9/20/11.  Something woke me up about 2:30am.  Jeff’s scent was very strong. This was the first time I have smelt him since he died.  The scent only lasted for about a minute then it was gone.   I haven't smelled it since.

The scent was most definitely Jeff's.  It smelled like he had just gotten home from work.  He was an iron worker.  The scent was very strong and reeked like he had spent the day out in the hot summer sun working.  Just had a funny thought.  Jeff's worst sweat stink was umpteen times better smelling than Bourbon St.!

This photo was taken during our trip to NOLA in May 2005, just a couple months before Katrina.

Missing keys

9/13/11.  My car keys were totally missing this morning.  I could not find them anywhere.  So I called Nick (my nephew) and asked him to look for the keys for me.  He found them right away.  They were right up against the front door in the living room.  Now there is no way they could have been there when I left.  The door opens up into the living room.  I would have noticed the keys when I tried to open the door.
Nick's key didn't work on the front door, even though the locks are the same for front and back doors.  So that is why he went in through the back door.

The Amazing Kindle

8/19/11.  Adele & I went to Lincoln City for the weekend.  We were staying at the Sea Horse Hotel.  I'd been carrying my Kindle all around.  I took it outside several times when I smoked.  I'd carried it back and forth from the bed to the table in the room.

Adele was writing down all the things I'd been telling her about the different things that had been happening since Jeff passed away.  After we were finished, I took off Jeff's wedding ring and set it on the nightstand.  Walked over to the table where my Kindle was, picked it up and walked back to the bed.

When I opened up the cover the Kindle to turn it on to read, I noticed a white slip of paper peeking out from between the Kindle and the cover.  I pulled it out.  Imagine my surprise when I saw what it was.  It had been carefully torn from an envelope.  It wasn’t just any envelope.  It was the return address of “Oregon Iron Works, Inc.”  It had the whole return address.  How it got there I do not know.  The only thing I could think of was Jeff had placed it there to let me know he was watching over me.  Adele pointed out that this happened right after I had taken off Jeff’s wedding ring.  This was 9:30pm.
I guess it wasn't as carefully torn as I thought it was.  But still, it is freaky.

The amazing toilet

8/04/11.  I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom.  When I turned the bathroom light on, I was surprised to see that the lid and seat on the toilet were both up.  I have no idea why the seat was up.
Loud noise startling me.

7/26/11.  About 9am I was in the kitchen fixing a pot of coffee.  I'd already fed the animals.  The cats were on the kitchen table eating.  Zoey was ignoring her food and was busy watching me. Hoping I would drop something yummy.

All of a sudden there was a loud, abrupt, noise that came from the living room.  Zoey, Beaudro and I went into the living room to see what the heck made the noise.   Saw right away what had made that noise.  The footrest on Jeff's Lazy Boy recliner had been put up like someone was sitting in the chair and put the footrest up to relax.  There is no way the footrest popped up on its own.  You really have to pull the handle to get it to pop up.

The first time I noticed things were not right after Jeff passed away.

Approximately 7/18/11 I came home from work and set my purse and keys on the table by the door.  My neighbor, Eric, came over to check on me.  We talked for a while then he went back home.

Later, I decided that I was hungry and since there was no food in the house, I decided to go to Fred Meyer and see if I could find something that sounded good.  I went to grab my keys and they were not on the table where I had left them.  My purse was there.  I looked under the table.  I looked everywhere.  I then went across the street to Eric's and asked him if he had noticed where I might have put my keys.  He told me that I had put them on the table by the door.  I came back home.  I finally found my keys.  Someone or something had moved the keys and placed them on the coffee table under the stack of sympathy cards.  The only explanation I can come up with is Jeff moved the keys. When Eric left they were still on the table by the door.

My experience at a motel

I worked at a motel in Clackamas, OR for several years as a Night Auditor.  This motel was haunted.  I have several stories to share from my time at this motel.

I'd only been working there for just a few months when things got real interesting one night.  The security guard had just finished checking the office building where I was working.  He was standing at the counter and we were talking.  The doors were locked and no one could enter the building without one of us manually unlocking the door to let them in.

Mind you, we were the only ones in this building.  All at once we heard someone running across the floor of the conference room that was upstairs.  The security guard went running upstairs with me right behind him.  There was no-one there in the upstairs.  There was no way for anyone to get out of the conference room except to pass by us and go back down the stairs.

Later that night, we were in the breakfast room watching television.  There was a door you could go through to get to the outdoor pool.  We heard splashing noises coming from the pool area.  The security guard went outside via this door.  I stood in the doorway keeping the door open.  Believe it or not, there was no one playing in the swimming pool.  There were no water splashes to be seen.  We both were stumped, not knowing what to make of this.

One night the girl who worked the Swing shift hung out with me.  She brought in her digital voice recorder and we went through the office building asking questions and waiting for answers.  We did not get any responses.  When we got tired of playing around with the recorder she set it down on the fireplace hearth and we sat on the chairs and were enjoying the fire.  For some reason she turned the recorder back on and was recording our conversation.  When she turned it off and replayed our conversation, there was a distinct male voice that spoke a few words in Spanish. To this day I do not know who this voice belonged to.  But I can tell you this, it sure as heck scared me.

A couple months before I left this motel I had a very unusual experience.  It really scared the pee out of me.  This one night I'd gone into the women's bathroom to go potty.  In this bathroom, there are 2 stalls.  Well for a couple days, one of the toilets had been running continuously.  I went into the other stall.  As I was sitting there peeing, the toilet that had been running continuously flushed all by itself.  There was no one in that stall.
