Who was Ron?

Ron was an older gentleman who lived next door to Jeff and I.  He passed away just a few weeks before Jeff.  Since we were close to Ron, when his daughter Cindy went back home to Idaho after cleaning out his house, she gave me a key to the house and asked me to keep an eye on it.

One day last fall my sister Jan and I went over there to check the house.  We were down in the basement.  Jan had gone into a different room than I did.  I'd stopped in his workroom and was admiring his workbench.  All of a sudden I felt this hand come down on top of my shoulder.  My first thought was it was Jan.  But it was not Jan.  She wasn't in the room with me.  It had to have been Ron.  He was a tall fellow in life and the hand came straight down onto my shoulder, as if from a tall person.

The second strange thing that happened was when I went on into another room in the basement.  Jan had found Ron's leather bomber jacket.  I thought to myself "I wonder if I should take this home?" I'd no sooner finished this thought than I heard a female voice say "Yes, take the jacket home."  It was not Jan's voice.  In fact Jan did not say anything.  I asked her.  I can only guess that the voice I heard belonged to Nora, Ron's wife.  She passed away back in March of 2009.

Yes, I took the jacket home and I called Cindy.  She didn't know about the jacket but she did ask me to mail it to her.  I gave Nick L. the money to mail it for me as I didn't have time to go to the post office.
