My friend Linda B. invited me to go camping with her. She was having a big group at Clear Lake. I invited Adele to go with me. I also took Zoey and Laddie with us.
Friday afternoon after arriving at the campground, Adele and I set up camp. I kept Laddie on his leash until I got his pen set up. Once I got the pen set up I put him in it and took his leash off. I set the leash on the picnic table. I also set Zoey's leash on the table with Laddie's leash.
Well later that afternoon, Linda and I took a walk around the campground and down to the lake. Before leaving, I grabbed Zoey's leash and put it on her and took Zoey with us. I didn't notice if Laddie's leash was there or not, as I wasn't taking Laddie with us.
Later, that evening, went to put Laddie on his leash and his leash was not on the table. Adele and I both tore apart the camp site looking for the leash. We could not find it anywhere. Linda came over while we were searching and she helped us look.
We gave up searching. I ended up putting Zoey's leash on Laddie to take him for his walk.
Saturday morning, both Adele and I did another search for the missing leash. I gave up and decided I wanted a bagel for breakfast. Now the bagels were in a paper bag all by themselves. Both Adele and I had looked in this paper bag both on Friday and Saturday when we were searching for the leash. Now that I'd given up searching and was fixing something to eat, I found the leash in the paper bag that the bagels were in.
Only thing I can figure out is that either Jeff or Mike were messing with me. Or was there a mischievious spirit there at the campground?
That was definitely weird - we had looked everywhere.
